Awards Night Reaps Gold

NAPIER -- The winners of the thirteenth annual New Zealand Sign and Display Awards, sponsored by Computaleta, were recently announced at a gala function held at the Hawkes Bay Opera House in Hastings.

MC, Dame Susan Devoy, brought her own brand of humour to the evening as sponsors presented 74 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and certificates to deserving sign makers.

The big winner on the night was JBFX of Christchurch, who reaped a record winning plethora of 4 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals!

Apprentices also came in for special attention with the country's top apprentices in their three years of block course attendance being recognised.

A Bronze medal was presented to Stacey Davidson of NZ Sign Company of Hamilton and two Gold medals were awarded to the equal first placed apprentices, Jonathan McGovern of Atkin Signs and Graphics of Napier and Rebecca Bell of Northbridge Signs of Auckland's North Shore.
