ALBANY -- The new Albany Warehouse is now open for business! The investment,
in Triton Drive, will eventually become our main facility for all
container imports into New Zealand.
The move, which Managing Director Noel Morrison describes as recession
smart, will increase the company's warehousing facilities while at the
same time reduce costs on internal freight.
"Last year we began to look at ways to reduce the impact of import
costs on our customers. This is a serious issue this year as the New
Zealand dollar weakens and foreign exchange continues to fluctuate.
"This new facility means we can save a lot on internal distribution, so
we can keep the impact of these cost increases to a minimum."
The new warehouse, at 26 Triton Drive, began operations in April when
the branch on Rosedale Road relocated their showroom to the new
premises.

With high-stud ceiling, pallet racking and easy forklift access, the
new warehouse is proving a hit with customers and staff alike.
The new facility also comes with a new team member. Renton Cague joined
the team two months ago as warehouse manager, controlling import and
distribution among the five Computaleta branches.
He has great experience in warehousing solutions having previously
worked for Wrightsons, and volunteers for the Auckland Coastguard on weekends, picking up ‘Crewman of the Year’ in 2008.
“It’s a great company to work for, it’s like I’m part of the family already” Mr Cague says.
