Auction Bucks a Huge Success

CHRISTCHURCH -- The Rapid Reward ‘Auction Bucks’ auction which started on August 27 and ran over three days was a huge success for New Zealand’s only sign company specific rewards programme, Rapid Rewards.

The online auction, which gave away $5000 worth of prizes, saw almost 50 sign companies take part; a new record for programme developers, Incentive Solutions, who say 10% engagement on a first auction is remarkable.

“It’s great to see how much New Zealand sign companies enjoy the programme and the benefit of earning points on purchases,” says Noel Morrison, programme inventor and director and founder of Computaleta.

The programme is run by Computaleta, PSP Plastics and 3M, and ensures sign and print companies are rewarded for their purchasing loyalty by way of Reward Points, which they can then redeem online for virtually anything.

Rapid Rewards has been running since 2003, and between the three companies has given over a million dollars worth of points back to their customers since inception.  Noel Morrison says the new Auction Bucks concept is a fresh way to add more excitement to the programme, and get members actively involved.

“We’ve been running Rapid Rewards now for six years so decided it was time for a fresh approach.

“The auctions are designed to add a new element of engagement in the programme, and are an extra bonus for our loyal members as it costs them nothing.“

Thirty-one companies won a prize over the three days, including a 7KG front loader washing machine, 4 burner gas BBQ, Navman GPS, Nintendo Wii, Panasonic Digital Camera & Bahco Socket Set.

Noel Morrison says the Auction was also lots of fun, and people we’re so happy to have won;  “We got some excellent feedback from our customers about it, the phones were buzzing the next day from people asking when we’re having another one!”

Oh yes, there will be another one, with plans underway to run an auction in March next year.  Those who were not successful this time will have another chance come 2011; as they get to keep the Auction Bucks not used, for next time.
