3M launch V3 Comply

AUCKLAND -- 3M have announced the release of their Comply V3 adhesive in two new digital print films, IJ180Cv3 and IJ380Cv3, now available at Computaleta.

The new air release system available on 3M IJ180Cv3 delivers the same advantages and benefits of film IJ180Cv2, including a smooth, paint-like surface, but with a superior air release system.

This new Comply v3 adhesive has also been teamed with a brand-new film construction called IJ380Cv3.  When used with 3M Gloss Overlaminate 8580, it is ideal for wraps with deep channels or severe curves.  This new cast film is soft, conformable and lacks a memory once installed.  Contrary to other wrap solutions, it can be stretched without lifting.

"Installers can bridge channels and concave areas and then stretch the graphic into place.  This reduces installation time.  According to an independent study, film IJ380Cv3 with overlaminate 8580 installed 30 per cent faster than the next closest competitive product," Mark Boxeth of the 3M Market Center says.

Vehicles such as the Transit Van, with it's pressed panels, and many others require this level of film engineering.  In addition, almost every vehicle has some areas - bumpers, corner panels, etc. - with moderate to severe curves that can benefit from this technology.

Arlette Morrison, marketing manager for Computaleta, says the new products add huge value to the end user and raise the bar on vehicle wrap technology.

"We're still providing a DUO offer as well in the v3, which we originally launched as a v2DUO in October 2008. This was a great move, and challenged the market to the benefit of sign and print companies alike."

The v3DUO means companies can purchase the base film IJ180Cv3 and matching laminate together for under $900 each per roll.
